The International Astronomical Union (IAU) has approved a new name for an albedo feature on Mars.
Sinai Fossae is a 585-km-wide Martian fossae (depression) located at 14.0°S, 281.0°E. The feature was named in honour of an Egyptian territory located in Asia.
