Zomba Southern province, Malawi

Synonym(s): Mount Zomba
Approx. recovered weight: 7.5 kg
After the appearance of a luminous meteor and detonations, several stones fell on the slopes of Mt. Zomba over an area of 9x3 miles. Ten stones were found, the largest weighing 51b 12.5oz (2.6kg) and the total weight was about 7.5kg.

The Zomba (L6) meteorite fell in Southern, Malawi, on the 25th January, 1899.
A total mass of 7.5 kg was recovered.
