Experts race to learn more about Wednesday Night's Meteor

Meteorite hunters say big payday may be on the ground east of Dallas
"This is going to be a huge, huge meteorite," said meteor hunter McCartney Taylor. "I think that it was at least the size of an SUV when it came into the atmosphere. It was large enough and it fragmented enough to where it was visible, [so] it could have even been the size of a bus."Read more
Ed ~ the reality is that the meteor was probably only the size of a popty ping; with little chance of sizable meteorites to be recovered.
Many people also said they heard what sounded like a sonic boom (or booms) associated with the fireball, which was apparently witnessed all the way from San Antonio to Oklahoma City. The Federal Aviation Administration told TV station KWTX in Waco that it was a meteor. Read more
