MPEC 2012 - H17

Comet P/2012 G1 (PANSTARRS) was discovered on the 13th April, 2012, by the Pan-STARRS 1 telescope.
The preliminary orbital elements of the comet indicate a perihelion passage on the 1st June, 2012, at a distance of 2.58 AU from the Sun, and an orbital period of 8.52 years.
