Comet C/2012 K8 (LEMMON) was discovered on the 30th May, 2012, by the Mount Lemmon Survey. The orbital elements of the comet indicate a perihelion passage was on the 29th June, 2009, at a distance of 6.9 AU from the Sun, and an orbital period of 33.4 years.
