Excellent meteoritic Leonard Medal 2013 for Prof. Dr. Ahmed El Goresy

He is recognised as an outstanding expert in extraterrestrial rocks, and an asteroid is even named after him: Prof. Dr. Ahmed El Goresy, who since 2005 has been a visiting researcher at the University of Bayreuth Bavarian Geoinstitute. Recently, he was awarded one of the highest honours to be awarded in the field of meteorite science.
