Michael Reynolds, dean of Liberal Arts & Sciences at Florida State College at Jacksonville, recently joined that exclusive club of those who will be remembered in perpetuity by having an object named after him - in his case, the asteroid catalogued as 2004 SY26. Now named Michaelreynolds, it was discovered by the Jarnac Observatory in Vail, Ariz., in 2004. Famed astronomers and sky watchers David Levy and Matthew "Tippy" D'Auria proposed the name to the International Astronomical Union's Minor Planets Centre at Harvard University, which approved it.
