A 14th magnitude occultation star is expected to be occulted by the 14th magnitude Pluto, the joint star/Pluto light dimming by approximately a 50% and then brightening again. The maximum expected duration for this event is likely to be almost 4 ½ minutes at the center of the shadow, and shorter as one approaches the limbs.
It will occur around 08:26 UT in the US and 08:22 UT in South America.
