India has suffered a major blow in its hope to get the Kullu valley - home to iconic temples like Kedarnath, the most important gene pool of western Himalayan flora and fauna and the endangered snow leopard, a world heritage tag. Unesco's World Heritage Committee, which is meeting in Phnom Penh on June 16 to decide on the new world heritage sites will defer India's nomination of the Great Himalayan National Park for world heritage status.
