NGC 323 (also PGC 3374) is a magnitude +12.6 elliptical galaxy located 329 million light-years away in the constellation Phoenix.

NGC 323 was discovered by the British astronomer John Frederick William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 Inch) speculum reflecting telescope at Feldhausen Road, Claremont, Cape Town on the 3rd October 1834.
