NGC 720 is a magnitude +10.2 elliptical galaxy located 80 million light years away in the constellation Cetus.
NGC 720 was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 Inch) speculum reflecting telescope at Clayhall Farm House in Old Windsor on the 3rd October 1785.
