NGC 1096 (also PGC 10336, ESO 115-28, AM 0242-600 or IRAS02425-6007) is a magnitude +12.8 spiral galaxy in the constellation Horologium.
NGC 1096 was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 Inch) speculum reflecting telescope at Feldhausen Road, Claremont, Cape Town on the 3rd October 1836.
