NGC 7249 (also ESO 190-1 or PGC 68606) is a magnitude +13.4 lenticular galaxy located 549 million light-years away in the constellation Grus.  

NGC 7249 was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflecting telescope at Feldhausen, Claremont, Cape Town on the 4th October 1834..

Right Ascension 22h 20m 30.9s, Declination -55° 07' 29"
