NGC 393 (also MCG 6-3-15, UGC 707 and PGC 4061) is a magnitude +12.4 elliptical galaxy about 254 million light years away in the constellation Andromeda.
NGC 393 was discovered by the German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 Inch) speculum reflecting telescope at Datchet on the 5th October 1784.
