NGC 1003 (also PGC 10052, UGC 2137, MCG 7-6-51, GWT 539.70 and IRAS02360 4039) is a magnitude +11.5 spiral galaxy located 29 million light years away in the constellation Perseus .

The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 Inch) speculum reflecting telescope at Datchet on October 6, 1784

RA  02h 39m 16.6s, Dec 40° 52' 22"
