NGC 447 (also IC 1656, MCG 5-4-6, UGC 804 and PGC 4550) is a magnitude +14.0 barred spiral galaxy located 257 ±18 million light-years away in the constellation Pisces.
The galaxy was discovered by German-Danish astronomer Heinrich Louis d'Arrest using a 27.94 cm (11 inch) f/17.5 refractor at the Copenhagen Observatory on the 8th October 1861.
