NGC 7029 (also ESO 235-72, PGC 66318) is a magnitude +11.4 elliptical galaxy located 130 million light-years away in the constellation Indus.
The galaxy was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflecting telescope at Feldhausen, Claremont, Cape Town on the 2nd October 1834.
