NGC 36 (also IRAS 00088+0606, MCG 1-1-43, UGC 106 and PGC 798) is a magnitude +13.3 barred spiral galaxy located 277 million light-years away in the constellation Pisces. The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Clayhall Farm House in Old Windsor on the 25th October 1785.
