NGC 38 (also MCG-1-1-47, Stephan XII and PGC 818) is a magnitude +13.3 spiral galaxy located 321 million light-years away in the constellation Pisces.
The galaxy was discovered by French astronomer Edouard Stephan using a 80.01 cm (31.5 inch) reflector at the Marseille Observatory on the 25th October 1881.
