NGC 29 (also NGC 21) is a magnitude +12.8 barred spiral galaxy located 234 ± 29 million lightyears away in the constellation Andromeda.
The galaxy was discovered by William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Windsor Road in Slough, Berkshire, on the 26th November 1790. The galaxy was rediscovered by Lewis Swift in 1885 and relisted as NGC 21.
