NGC 2307 (also ESO 87-45, AM 0648-641, IRAS06485-6416 and PGC 19648) is a magnitude +12.3 face-on barred spiral galaxy located 209 million light-years away in the constellation Volans.
The galaxy was discovered by John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Feldhausen, Claremont, Cape Town, on the 30th November 1834.
