NGC 1892 (also ESO 85-61, IRAS05169-6500 and PGC 17042) is a magnitude +12.1 edge-on spiral galaxy located 62.8 million light-years away in the constellation Dorado.
The galaxy was discovered by John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Feldhausen, Claremont, Cape Town, on the 30th November 1834.
