NGC 1859 (also ESO 058-SC050, KMH90-635) is a magnitude +12.3 open star cluster located in the Large Magellanic Cloud in the constellation Dorado.
The cluster was discovered by John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at at Feldhausen, Claremont, Cape Town, on the 3rd December 1834.
