NGC 1703 (also ESO 119-19, AM 0452-594, IRAS 04521-5949, and PGC 16234) is a magnitude +11.3 barred spiral galaxy located 70 million light-years away in the constellation Dorado.
The galaxy was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Feldhausen, Claremont, Cape Town, on the 4th December 1834.
