NGC 1570 (also NGC 1571, ESO 250-19, MCG -7-10-1, AM 0420-434, PGC 14971) is a magnitude +12.3 elliptical galaxy located 204 million light years away in the constellation Caelum.
The galaxy was discovered by John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Feldhausen, Claremont, Cape Town, on the 4th December 1836. The galaxy was rediscovered by John Herschel in 1837 and re-listed as NGC 1571.
