NGC 1802 is an open cluster consisting of 25 stars, located 6,850 light-years away in the constellation Taurus.
The cluster was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) reflecting telescope at Clayhall Farm House in Old Windsor on the 7th December 1785.
