NGC 518 (also MCG +01-04-049, PGC 5161, 2MASX J01241762 +0919514 and UGC 952) is a magnitude +13.3 inclined spiral galaxy located ~107 million light years away in the constellation Pisces.
The galaxy was discovered by German astronomer Albert Marth using a 121.92 cm (48 inch) speculum reflector at William Lassell's observatory in Malta on the 17th December 1864.
