NGC 1619 is a lost object located in the constellation Eridanus.
The object was discovered by American astronomers Lewis Swift using a 40.6 cm (16 inch) Alvan Clark and Sons refractor at the Warner Observatory, East Avenue, Rochester, New York, on the 22nd December 1886.
Identification of the object is uncertain; at the indicated location no nebula or galaxy can be observed; a possibility is that the observed object may have been a faint members of the NGC 1600 group or bright supernova.
