NGC 693 (also UGC 1304, MCG 1-5-35, ZWG 412,33, IRAS01479 0553 and PGC 6778) is a magnitude +12.3 lenticular galaxy located 72 million light-years away in the constellation Pisces.
The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Windsor Road, Slough, on the 25th December 1790.
