NGC 1015 (also PGC 9988, UGC 2124, MCG 0-7-66 or GWT 388.75) is a magnitude +12.2 face-on barred spiral galaxy located 121 million light-years away in the constellation Cetus.
The galaxy was discovered by German astronomer Ernst Wilhelm Leberecht Tempel using a 27.94 cm (11 inch) refractor at the Arcetri Observatory on the 27th December 1875.
