NGC 2330 (also IC 457, MCG 8-13-78, ZWG 234.74, NPM1G +50.0075 and PGC 20272) is a magnitude +14.8 elliptical galaxy located 221 million light-years away in the constellation Lynx.
The galaxy was discovered by Irish astronomer Bindon Blood Stoney, assistant to William Parsons, using the 'Parsonstown Leviathan' 182.88 cm (72 inch) reflector at Birr Castle, on the 2nd January 1851
