NGC 1919 (also ESO 85-SC73) is a magnitude +12.3 open cluster with emission nebula in the Large Magellanic Cloud located in the constellation Dorado.
The cluster was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) reflecting telescope at Feldhausen, Claremont, Cape Town, on the 3rd January 1837
