NGC 2061 (also ESO 363 - ** 16) is a magnitude +9.6 group of stars located 1768 ±82 light-years away, and 28700 light-years from the galactic center, in the constellation Columba.
The grouping was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) reflector at Feldhausen, Claremont, Cape Town, on the 9th January 1836.
