NGC 2511 (also MCG 2-21-8, MK 1207, ZWG 59.24 and PGC 22549) is a magnitude +14.3 spiral galaxy located 209.71 million light-years away in the constellation Canis Minor.
The galaxy was discovered by Anglo-Irish astronomer William Parsons, 3rd Earl of Rosse, using a 182.88 cm (72 inch) reflecting telescope at Birr Castle on the 31st January 1851.
