NGC 3378 (also ESO 318-12, MCG -7-22-29, IRAS 10444-3945 and PGC 32189) is a magnitude +12.7 barred spiral galaxy located 238 million light-years away in the constellation Antlia.
The galaxy was discovered by English astronomer John Herschel at the Cape of Good Hope using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) reflecting telescope on the 1st February 1835.
