NGC 2250 (also OCL 547 and Collinder 100) is a magnitude +8.9 open cluster located 5,850 light-years away in the constellation Monoceros.
The cluster was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) reflecting telescope at Windsor Road, Slough, on the 20th February 1830.
