NGC 2457 (also MCG 9-13-86 and PGC 22161) is a magnitude +15.4 barred spiral galaxy located 333 million light-years away in the constellation Lynx. The galaxy is close to the neighbouring galaxy NGC 2456.
The galaxy was discovered by English astronomer Ralph Copeland using a 182.88 cm (72 inch) refractor at Birr castle on the 10th March 1874.
