NGC 4846 (also IRAS 12554+3637, MCG 6-29-2, UGC 8079 and PGC 44362) is a magnitude +13.7 spiral galaxy located 208 million light-years away in the constellation Canes Venatici.
The galaxy was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Windsor Road, Slough, on the 11th March 1831.
