NGC 2689 (also PGC 2333935) is a magnitude +16.3 lenticular galaxy located in the constellation Ursa Major. In the sky it is roughly 2' to the east of galaxy NGC 2688.
The galaxy was discovered by astronomer R. J. Mitchell using a 182.88 cm (72 inch) speculum reflector at Birr castle on the 11th March 1858.
