NGC 2701 (also IRAS 08554+5357, MCG 9-15-63, UGC 4695 and PGC 25237) is a magnitude +12.0 barred spiral galaxy located 107 million light-years away in the constellation Ursa Major.
The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Windsor Road, Slough, on the 18th March 1790.
