NGC 4605 (also IRAS 12378+6152, MCG 10-18-74, UGC 7831 and PGC 42408) is a magnitude +10.3 spiral galaxy located 15.3 ±3 million light-years away in the constellation Ursa Major.
The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Windsor Road, Slough, on the 19th March 1790.
