NGC 2878 (also MCG 0-24-14, UGC 5022 and PGC 26739) is a magnitude +14.0 spiral galaxy located 336 million light-years away in the constellation Hydra.
The galaxy was discovered by German astronomer Albert Marth using a 121.92 cm (48 inch) speculum reflector at William Lassell's Tigné Point observatory in Sliema, Malta, on the 28th March 1864.
