NGC 4980 (also ESO 443-75, IRAS 13064-2822, MCG -5-31-37 and PGC 45596) is a magnitude +12.9 spiral galaxy located 66 million light-years away in the constellation Hydra.
The galaxy was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at the Cape of Good Hope on the 30th March 1835.
