NGC 2928 (also IRAS 09343+1712, MCG 3-25-5 and PGC 27380) is a magnitude +14.7 face-on barred spiral galaxy located 383 million light-years away in the constellation Leo.
The galaxy was discovered by German astronomer Albert Marth using a 121.92 cm (48 inch) speculum reflector at William Lassell's Tigné Point observatory in Sliema, Malta, on the 1st April 1864.
