NGC 3394 (also IRAS 10473+6559, MCG 11-13-41, UGC 5937 and PGC 32495) is a magnitude +12.4 face-on spiral galaxy located 157 million light-years away in the constellation Ursa Major.
The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Windsor Road, Slough, on the 3rd April 1791.
