NGC 4037 (also IRAS 11588+1340, MCG 2-31-15, UGC 7002 and PGC 37928) is a magnitude +11.9 face-on barred spiral galaxy located 43 million light-years away in the constellation Coma Berenices.
The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Datchet, Berkshire, on the 8th April 1784.
