NGC 5012 (also IRAS 13091+2310, MCG 4-31-12, UGC 8270 and PGC 45795) is a magnitude +12.3 face-on barred spiral galaxy located 120 million light-years away in the constellation Coma Berenices.
The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Datchet, Berkshire, on the 10th April 1785.
