NGC 4026 (also MCG 9-20-52, UGC 6985 and PGC 37760) is a magnitude +10.8 edge-on spiral galaxy located 43 million light-years away in the constellation Ursa Major.
The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Windsor Road, Slough, on the 12th April 1789.
