NGC 3310 (also Arp 217, IRAS 10356+5345, MCG 9-18-8, UGC 5786 and PGC 31650) is a magnitude +10.8 face-on spiral galaxy located 42 million light-years away in the constellation Ursa Major.
The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Windsor Road, Slough, on the 12th April 1789.
