NGC 4149 (also NGC 4154, IRAS 12080+5834, MCG 10-17-155, UGC 7167 and PGC 38741) is a magnitude +13.2 edge-on spiral galaxy located 141 million light-years away in the constellation Ursa Major.
The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Windsor Road, Slough, on the 17th April 1789. The galaxy was rediscovered by William Herschel in March 1790, and relisted as NGC 4154.
